We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Director who will be reporting directly to the CEO.
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a strategic and results-oriented Financial Director to oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, taxation, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial modelling, technical accounting, and taxation, along with a proven track record of effectively working with executive boards and sub-committees.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives and optimize financial performance.
* Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
* Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Conduct financial modelling to support decision-making and evaluate strategic initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws.
* Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and board of directors, including analysis of financial risks and opportunities.
* Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial stakeholders.
* Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Serve as a key liaison between finance and other departments, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and alignment.
* Participate in board meetings and sub-committee meetings, presenting financial updates, insights, and recommendations.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Qualified accountant ( ACCA, ACA)
Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within a small/medium organisation.
* Strong knowledge of financial modelling, technical accounting principles, and taxation.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior executives and board members.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and compliance.
