Finance Manager opportunity within an established SME offering responsibility for all aspects of accounting & finance within a high-growth business and progression to FD / CFO.
THE COMPANY
This established manufacturing business has experienced steady growth in turnover in recent years and is poised for greater expansion. The business has an ambitious growth strategy involving expansion into new customer markets and new product development and made significant investment into production and distribution facilities.
THE OPPORTUNITY
To secure planned growth the Board now seeks to strengthen its Senior Management Team with the appointment of an experienced Qualified or QBE Accountant into a Finance Manager position within the business..
Joining the business at an exciting phase in its growth, your role will involve managing the finance function, supporting the Board and working alongside Senior Managers across Commercial and Operations areas. Your responsibilities will be broad and varied in this hands-on role, encompassing leading the preparation of management accounts and business analysis reports, supporting the growth strategy and getting fully involved in the implementation of a new ERP system. The opportunity offers progression to FD / CFO as the business realises its growth potential.
As Finance Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and developing the finance department of a growing SME business comprising manufacturing and distribution operations
- Production of Monthly Management Accounts including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasts for the business and presenting / interpreting at Board meetings
- Preparation of Board Reports including presentation of sales and margin analysis by product, customer, and market segment and geographical territory
- Implementation of robust financial controls and processes across the business
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts and strategic plans together with the Board & Senior Management Team
- Working with IT Consultants during ERP system implementation phase
- Monitoring costs and capital expenditure
THE PERSON
You will be a Senior Finance Professional capable of demonstrating the following:
- ACA / ACCA / ACMA Qualified Accountant (or QBE)
- Senior Finance / Financial Management experience within a growing privately owned SME business
- Preferable some experience gained within a larger sophisticated business (manufacturing)
- Strong character, capable of implementing and driving through changes and improvements in financial and business processes
- Good team management and leaderships skills and experience
