We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our clients team and contribute to the success of the organization. Our client is a Children's Residential Care provider supporting vulnerable young people across the country. The ideal candidate will be an organized and driven individual who can bring thorough financial practices with them. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular financial reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Analyse and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary updates.
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage the invoicing process, including the issuance of accurate and timely invoices.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to resolve any invoicing-related issues.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
- Generate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the availability of funds for operational needs.
- Implement strategies to optimise cash flow efficiency.
- Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Provide necessary documentation and support for audit inquiries.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles and regulations
- Proficient in financial reconciliation, payroll processing, and management accounts preparation
- Excellent understanding of invoicing processes and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
- An in-depth knowledge of using Xero accounting software.
- Confident in presenting analysis of financials to the Directors
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
