Finance Manager
The successful candidate will also have responsibility for managing a Finance team and overseeing the day-to-day monitoring, maintaining and updating of the finance systems, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of system enhancement, reporting enhancement and control frameworks.
The individual will also be key to ensuring robust controls are in place and that there is a continuous enhancement of the controls, training and guidance material and other finance processes.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
- Assist in the management and development the finance team, proactively taking ongoing steps to optimise business processes and build team capacity;
- Maintain high-quality financial management reports, financial analysis and key performance indicators;
- Manage and oversee budgets, drawdowns, and payments, ensuring continuous reconciliation of same;
- Support the identification and management of fixed assets
- Assess projects for Return on Investment and assist in development of Business Cases and Project Initiation Documentation;
- Ensure governance for procurement procedures and that a systematic risk assessment process is embedded in each project and play a key role in identifying and managing risk;
- Represent the Finance Department to the highest standard at all times, and especially when participating in the formation of procurement documentation and tender evaluations;
- Work effectively as a 'finance business partner', building strong relationships across the organisation, operating in a flexible and collaborative manner, while quickly adapting to the evolving requirements of the Finance function.
The successful candidate will have:
- A recognised Accounting Qualification - ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
- A minimum of 8 years experience
- Previous experience in managing qualified and non-qualified accounting team members
- Strong Business Partnering experience as well as the ability to create and deliver processes and controls
