About the role
We are looking for a Finance Manager in London. In this role you will act as a business partner for our region. On a daily basis you will be the Single point of contact (SPOC) for the region for finance related questions and work together with management team to support and challenge their daily activities. In this dynamic role you are in charge of the full financial scope. The role will ensure the timely and accurate capture of financial information/output necessary for effective management decisions, and in compliance with Local GAAP, local statutory laws and accounting standards, corporate policies/procedures and key controls. You will be supported by our central Finance team at in London and Amsterdam and report directly to the Head of Finance in Amsterdam.

Key Responsibilities:

• SPOC for the region regarding finance related questions
• Part of region management team
• Validate business cases, deals etc.
• Ensure accurate, transparent, consistent, and timely financial accounting & tax records and reporting submissions, in full compliance with IFRS Accounting Standard and other corporate and legal standards
• Review and maintain monthly closing activities (FX, payroll booking, fixed assets, analysis of balance sheet positions, etc..)
• Responsible for financial statements for the cluster
• Responsible for the (external & Internal) audits
• Support central business controlling team with forecast and planning
• Ensure that effective internal controls are established, maintained and monitored across the company. Coordinate and complete annual audits.
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Monitor and analyse financial data and produce reports to the organization to share business insights and drive decision
• Project Management lead and support on a wide range of finance and company projects
• Safe guarding the integrity of the financial function

Requirements

• Certified Accountant, University level education with a degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting & Control
• Relevant work experience in finance, accounting and/or internal control
• Strong technical knowledge of an ERP (SAP), excellent Excel skills
• Excellent linguistic skills in English
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic to contribute to team goals with a strong desire for continuous learning
• Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements
• Strong work ethic with a desire to drive improvements and achieve results
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to travel
