SalaryWe are currently supporting a London Borough to recruit a Finance Manager, to manage a team responsible for the Business Partnering for all Capital Projects.
The Finance Manager will work closely with other areas of the Capital Finance team to develop a high performing department with a customer focused approach. The role will be expected to develop relationships across a range of stakeholders and be comfortable advising and challenging to aid decision making. The key focuses of the role will include;
- Working with services to develop business cases for large scale capital projects with a commercial mindset
- Leading on budget setting, monitoring and closing of Capital projects
- Act as a key financial advisor providing strategic support and input on investments and projects
- Driving efficiency and value for money across the council.
The Council offers hybrid working, with there being a mandatory requirement of one day per week in the office.
To be suitable for the role you must be a qualified accountant with excellent people skills and experience of supporting capital projects ideally in a local government setting. Previous experience of managing or supporting staff is highly desirable.
