Are you an experienced finance professional who has a keen interest in the financial environment of the Higher Education sector and supporting the University’s financial sustainability? We have an exciting opportunity to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team as Finance Manager, taking the lead on costing and pricing, including leading on the submission of the University’s annual Transparent Approach to Costing (TRAC) return. In addition you will support the provision of financial management information and regulatory returns.
You do not need to have any prior experience of TRAC, as full guidance & training will be provided, but you do need to have an aptitude for interpreting volumes of data and the ability to translate that into meaningful information to support strategic planning and financial reporting. The role provides the real opportunity to influence decision making.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will support the provision of a range of financial management information including reporting on financial performance, multi-year forecasting, budgets, scenario modelling, regulatory financial returns and various KPIs including research performance and statistics.
The University’s Department of Finance has over 150 staff within several specialist teams supporting specific areas of financial activities of the University.
