Finance Manager
Nr Southampton (hybrid)
I am recruiting for a Finance Manager within this International Business Services / Consulting client.
Ideally you will possess customs and/or International Trade experience.
The ideal candidate must have strong accounting skills, commercial experience with the ability to work cross functional throughout the organisation.

?Financial Reporting & Control
- Ensuring compliance with all corporate governance requirements and maintain an adequate level of internal control.
- Define accounting processes, actively seek, recommend, and implement improvements.
- Managing the finance team day-to-day, providing leadership and coaching, overseeing their development through regular appraisals and objective settings.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
Management Reporting
- Ownership of the monthly ledger close process.
- Preparation of management accounts including month end journals and balance sheet reconciliations for group reporting.
- Support the production of periodic forecasts, annual budgets & long-range plans working with the Senior Group Financial Controller.
- Assist with the production of materials for Board meetings and senior management team presentations.
- Management of the purchase ledger and banking function.
- Overseeing the management of the small transational teams.
- Responsibility for the management and maintenance of the group ledger, including all aspects of master data in SAGE.
- Review and prepare the payment run on a fortnightly basis.
- Manage and execute payroll and all payroll related HMRC requirements in conjunction with the Senior Group Financial Controller.
- Preparation and submission of Quarterly VAT returns. Supporting with ad hoc requirements as necessary.
?Essential Skills, knowledge and experience:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Sage/NetSuite experience preferred
- Strong quantitative, problem-solving and communications skills are required.
- Supply Chain / Logistics / Customs / International Trade experience
- Ability to set priorities, multi-task, meet critical deadlines and pay attention to detail.
- Highly organized and motivated self-starter with good interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience in building and managing a team.
