Finance Officer

Your new company
You will be working with this fantastic Public Sector organisation based in Glasgow City Centre. The organisation has a proven track record of developing and supporting their staff members. They are currently looking to recruit a Finance Officer on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract, with a view of going permanent, who will assist the Financial Planning & Analysis team in the provision of financial information to the wider business.
Your new role
Within this varied role you will be responsible for; ensuring completion of all period-end tasks, preparation and posting of accounting journal, preparation of reporting packs for including commentaries to explain variances to budget/forecast, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of budgets and forecasts and general associated Finance Administration.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced finance professional and will have previous experience working in a finance role within a complex organisation.
In addition to this, you will ideally have previous experience with Open Accounts and have strong Excel and data analysis skills. You will also be an effective communicator at all levels and have stakeholder management experience.
