You will be working within the Financial Accounting Team, which sits within the wider Finance and Procurement Department, providing support to all GMC colleagues. The role is varied, and the successful candidate will be fully immersed into all the weekly, monthly, and annual tasks, relating to pay and Expenses.
The main responsibilities include:
- Processing end to end monthly payrolls for approx. 1700 colleagues, weekly staff expense claim payments.
- Month end reconciliations, and Annual reporting and pay-over of P11Db and PAYE Settlement Agreement.
- Ensuring compliance with both GMC policies and HMRC legislation,
- Producing and communicating accurate and timely information to a wide-ranging audience.
- Working to tight deadlines and conflicting priorities.
We will consider a range of flexible working options. To start with, we would like the successful candidate to come into the office weekly for induction and training. It will then settle into a regular Finance arrangement of once every 2 weeks in the office on a rolling day.
You can find more details on the tasks you will be undertaking, and the essential skills required for the role, in the job description.
How to apply for the role
Please provide a CV and covering letter. The covering letter should clearly set out how you meet the essential skills for the role, which are listed in the job description. You should also include a paragraph outlining your reasons for applying for the role.
We recommend no more than 2 sides of A4 for the covering letter, but it can be more if required.
We will assess the information you provide against the skills required for the role and let you know whether you will progress to the next stage of the recruitment process.
If you do not provide all the above, we may not be able to progress your application.
