Following recent promotions an opportunity has become available for two Finance Officers, one in Growth and Regeneration, and one in Children and Families.
Responsible to a Senior Finance Officer, you will have a key role in supporting all aspect of the accounts (management and statutory) for the organisation and assisting management throughout the Council to fulfil their responsibilities as a budget manager.
You will assist in the provision of a range of professional financial support services including providing support to service areas within the Council in terms of monthly management accounting, advice and guidance to budget holders, and supporting the development of the team in which you will operate.
It is important that you hold strong communication skills for this role, as you will be required to build strong working relationships with various Senior Managers and Heads of Service.
Currently the role will involve significant amounts of time working from home but with new ways of working, flexible working arrangements and excellent IT facilities at Kirklees Council, your location need not be a barrier. There will be an option to work from the office if required.
