Finance Processing Manager

Finance
Ensuring the club’s finances are strong for the present and secure for the future to meet all our on-pitch ambitions.
Colleagues within our finance team look after financial reporting, compliance, risk management and investor relations.
The Purpose:
To efficiently oversee and enhance the operations of a dynamic sales ledger and purchase ledger department.
The Role:
  • Supervise Sales Ledger, Credit Control, and Purchase Ledger Teams.
  • Assess balances exceeding 90 days in the Trial Balance.
  • Review and approve month-end reports and reconciliations.
  • Evaluate and authorise ad hoc CHAPS and payment runs.
  • Approval of vendor bank details.
  • Approval of player-related and VAT-only invoices.
  • Approval of sales ledger invoices.
  • Assist the credit control team in reporting and collecting debt for Executive club and commercial debtors.
  • Close down Purchase Orders in Medius
  • Implement Medius system amendments to configurations and apply temporary delegations for users.
  • Provide training for new users in Medius.
  • Ensure team processes align with SOX Risk & Control Matrix.
  • Continuously review processes and implement improvements and efficiencies.
  • Manage various audit requests, sampling, and evidence.
  • Serve as the point of contact for finance and the broader business for various queries and inquiries.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects.
The Person:
  • Capable of managing multiple teams and supporting the Head of Financial Operations.
  • Personable with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Adaptive systems experience, especially in Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Exceptional multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work within multiple critical and high-impact deadlines throughout the month.
  • Previous experience processing in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple teams.
  • Experience in system implementations or configuration.
  • Demonstrated time management, administration, and prioritisation skills with diligence.
  • Initiative-taking capability.
  • Ability to manage end-to-end month-end processes.
  • Skills to fulfil various reporting requirements.
