A growing business operating in the construction sector is looking to add a
Financial Controller to their team. Whilst working as part of a small finance function you will ensure the provision of providing quality and timely management information to pillar management and group finance function.
The role in more detail will include:
- Oversee month end procedures in an accurate and timely manner, including journal preparation and balance sheet reconciliation
- Coordinate and support contract budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure full VAT, CIS, PAYE compliance
- Assist in the coordination and completion of audit requirements
- Support Tenders & Business plans when required
- Ensuring the systems and processes are fit for purposes and continually reviewed and improved
- Ensuring the correct IT set-up of new projects and employees
- Overhead reporting
- Payroll and Pension support
The successful applicant will be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with all accounting experience within the construction / engineering sector, with an understanding of a project driven business. You will have both a strong technical background but also a keen commercial awareness. You will oversee a small team and possess strong IT skills including a high degree of Microsoft Excel competence. The role allows for a degree of hybrid working and has excellent benefits.
