SalaryReed Accountancyare currently partnered with a growing organisation in the Horsham area who areseeking a Finance Supervisor to join their existing team to oversee the daily operations of our Finance department and provide leadership to their Finance administrator. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in finance management, exceptional organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Supervise the Finance department and manage the Finance administrator.
- Handle all functions within Xero, including bank reconciliations, credit card and expense reconciliations, and month-end reconciliation.
- Prepare financial reports up to the Trial Balance and manage journals and VAT.
- Monitor bank payments and ensure invoicing is managed correctly, with invoices sent out on time.
- Oversee credit control, maintaining the credit control spreadsheet, and handle escalated legal matters.
- Manage purchase invoices and work with Directors to ensure timely payments.
- White Card applications (previous experience with Construction industry and retention would be useful)
- Respond to customer and supplier queries, set up projects on Xero, and manage vehicle information on Fleet Hub.
- Update project spreadsheets, handle petty cash, send statements, and manage mobile phone accounts.
- Monitor keys and security, and handle ad hoc requests from Directors.
- Deal with contractors regarding facilities and perform credit checks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2-3 years’ experience in a Supervisory role within finance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite including SharePoint, Xero, and other accounting software.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage workloads independently.
- Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to work in a calm and organised manner.
- Desirable skills include Fleet Management and Fuel Cards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- High levels of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
