Our client, a leader in Energy Management, is seeking a Finance Systems Accountant to join their team. Your role will involve providing support to the Financial Controller in ensuring that internal financial controls are robust and fit for purpose. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all financial systems, practices, and policies. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a strong ability to influence multiple stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities of the Interim Finance Systems Accountant

As a Finance Systems Accountant, you will play a pivotal role within our client's organisation. Your role will involve identifying efficiencies in current processes and implementing improvements to enhance data quality. Collaboration is key within this role as you will work closely with the accounting team on various projects. Your commitment to executing journey-to-readiness principles will be crucial in driving digital transformation within the organisation.

• Identify efficiencies in current processes for optimization and improvement of data quality.
• Design, analyse and review all financial systems, practices, and policies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
• Enforce governance and controls across all Finance Systems and processes
• Communicate these changes to the finance function and wider business as appropriate.
• Report solid line to UK and Ireland Transformation & Data leader.

What the successful candidate will bring

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA accountant
• 10 years of experiences, preferably commercial finance experience.
• Proficient with Data analysis and automation tools.
• Capacity to drive process change.
• Problem solving skills to identify problems or gaps in the financial systems, solve problems creatively, and implement opportunities for improvement.
• Communication skills: Influence and Convince; Foster Collaboration & Networking; Ease decision making process among teams.
