You'll join our Financial Services Team as a Finance Team Manager whose focus will be on efficient, effective, and compliant financial systems and processes.
The Role
This role is responsible for identifying and co-ordinating improvements to the council’s corporate financial system and ensuring all systems and processes involved in managing income and expenditure are efficient, effective and complaint.
The successful candidate will develop financial reporting functionality to enable the provision of robust, consistent and timely financial data to support decision making. This role will focus on working with services and third parties to deliver financial compliance including Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.
This role will be expected to review current processes to ensure impact and outcomes are maximised. The role will be expected to influence business outcomes, offering analysis and interpretation, presenting options to resolve problems and exploit opportunities.
Through use of influencing skills, and the provision of evidence based financial advice and guidance, this role will contribute to the delivery of services within the financial resource available. This will in turn help the Council to continue to make the best use of resources resulting in the delivery of the best outcomes for the people and place of Lincolnshire.
The Candidate
To succeed in this role, you will have a blend of technical and people skills. Experience with Unit 4 and Access products is desirable but not essential. You see the value in the business intelligence you provide and inspire others to make use of it. Your ability to listen, interpret, influence, and challenge respectfully means that colleagues see you as trusted partner and involve you in supporting them to drive their services forward.

Location
The team work on a hybrid basis, with part of the week spent connecting in the office and part of the week home based. This role would be expected to work within these arrangements.
