Robertson Bell are excited to announce their partnership with this established public sector organisation as they go to market for a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone to make their mark in a fantastic organisation as you will have the ability to shape the finance function and roll out robust financial controls.
In this Financial Accountant role, you will:
- Take full responsibility for producing financial reports for all capital related projects and hold oversight of buildings and equipment.
- Oversee the endowment profile that is worth over £50mil by producing reports for donors and committees.
- Lead in all treasury management and implement a new rolling cashflow forecast function by creating financial models.
- Have line management responsibility over one direct report, and in-direct line management responsibility of seven junior members of staff.

The successful Financial Accountant will:
- Hold a CCAB qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA etc.)
- Be interested in working for a public sector organisation and come from a complex organisation.
- Have a thorough understanding of financial accounting and have excellent communication skills.
- Be confident communicating with non-financial stakeholders to identify and drive process improvements across the finance function.
- Have experience line managing or supervising a small team.
- Be proficient in Excel and have experience using various accounting systems.
