A rapidly growing, manufacturing organisation is looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join their team. This position has arisen due to promotion and is a fantastic opportunity for an ACA qualified accountant. Due to the scope and opportunity within the role; our client will consider either a first time mover from practice or someone making their second industry move for this Financial Accountant position.
The Role
The Financial Accountant's duties will include:
- Performance of the procedures required for the month end (6 working days)
- Core accounting procedures and journal processing
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- VAT Return preparations and co-ordination with the external corporation tax team
- Principal contact for the external audit
- Reviewing business performance and drive for continuous improvement
- Preparation and review of rebates
- Assisting the financial controller with necessary projects and report preparation
The Person
The requirements for the Financial Accountant role are:
- Qualified ACA
- Straight from practice or a second time mover
- Ability to work to tight deadline
- A team player who has the ability to work with staff at different levels
- Curious and ambitious approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate clearly and confidently at a senior level
- Excellent excel proficiency and ability to analyse large volumes of data
