Financial Accountant

JHE & Partners are pleased to be working with a market leading organisation as they look to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant. Joining a relatively new team, this is an exciting time to join the finance team in an influential position that will give you exposure across the business, working with people at all levels including Senior Leadership.

Applicants must have a strong financial accounting background with experience in the following key areas:

• Supporting the Financial Controller in all aspects of finance
• Preparation of various indirect tax returns (VAT, Intrastat EC sales etc.)
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Posting of journals, monthly accruals and prepayments
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Ensuring balance sheet and bank reconciliations are produced accurately and on time
• Once up to speed, management of the general ledger team (3 FTE)

Applicants must be qualified with significant experience in a similar position. This role would suit an experienced Financial Accountant looking to take the next step in their career. Applicants will have sound working knowledge of ERP systems, first rate Excel skills and the ability to communicate with both finance and non-finance colleagues effectively.
