The Opportunity

The Financial Accountant is a varied role where you will link in with several different functions within finance. Although the role will be focused on domestic aspects to begin with, there is the opportunity for the successful individual to spread their wings and get involved with international accounting also.
The key components of the role will include:

• Involved in high profile projects
• Business partnering with senior internal and external holders
• Involvement in process/continuous improvement projects
• Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts & returns
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Ensuring a robust month-end:
• Assisting with VAT & taxation returns
• Assisting with the development of systems & reporting tools

Candidate Profile

The employer is keen to engage with individuals that have 18 months practical financial accounting experience and actively seeking a professional accountancy qualification. The employer is open to two potential backgrounds:

1. An individual already operating within an inhouse Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant role.

Or

1. An individual operating in an audit role in an Accountancy Firm/Practice and seeking their first inhouse industry role.
