REED is delighted to be further assisting an expanding, innovative technology business in the Antrim area, in the appointment of a full-time Financial Accountantfor a 12-month fixed term contract.

The role

The Financial accountant will ensure accurate accounting and reporting of the group results on a monthly and annual basis. You will be a key part of the Group Reporting team, and work with the FP&A and Financial operations team as they navigate through the continued growth phase of the company.

• Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis to support management decision making
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial accounts including duties ranging from

prepayment / PO accrual posting, loan interest posting, GL account variance analysis etc.

• Analyse financial performance and identify trends to drive performance improvement
• Provide financial insight and analysis to stakeholders across the business
• Prepare and manage financial reporting of the group to various stakeholders on a timely
• basis
• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity
• Prepare financial statements and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Manage the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors
• Assist with managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting function liaising with other functions in the finance department

Essential Criteria

• Chartered accountant qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• 1+ years post qualified experience in accounting or finance
• Experience in financial reporting and analysis
• Experience with accounting software and financial systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload

Desirable Criteria

• Experience in a similar role in a technology or software company
• Experience with SAP / SAGE accounting software
