SalaryElevation Accountancy and Finance are excited to be working with a reputable business in Knottingley as they look to recruit a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis.
You will report directly into the Financial Controller and take responsibility for the timely and accurate reporting of Financial Management Information.
Job responsibilities of the Financial Accountant:
- Ensures accurate and timely reporting of financial management information
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts & balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage year-end financial reporting, assisting the preparation of UK statutory accounts, tax packs and liaising with external auditors
- Daily cash / bank management & cash flow forecasting
- Preparation of UK & Irish VAT returns
- Liaising with our internal logistics, sales department & customs for any EORI queries on imports & exports
- Involvement in payroll review and HMRC reporting
- Oversight of the purchase and sales ledger functions
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Weekly & monthly stock aging analysis & report preparation
- Intercompany sales & purchases reconciliations
- Assist the Financial Controller and finance department on ad hoc tasks or projects when necessary
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- Qualified within or studying towards CIMA/ACA/ACCA accreditation
- Solid experience of producing final accounts from trial balance
- Experience of working with a fully integrated ERP system
- Manufacturing experience (desirable)
- Experience of working for a medium to large company
- Proactive and able to work off own initiative
