As the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of timely and accurate financial information to support external statutory compliance and reporting for all UK legal entities.
Ensuring accurate financial information is produced on a timely basis and assisting with the preparation of the annual financial statements.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of the annual financial statements.
• Assist in the annual and interim audit process.
• Analyse monthly foreign exchange (FX) movements in the ledger.
• Control the monthly intercompany reconciliation process.
• Account for external and intercompany loans, ensuring accurate interest calculations and proper reflection in the accounts.
• Assist with the month end close process through preparation of journals and analysis including; accruals, prepayments, payroll, sundry income, cash, fixed assets.
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations with appropriate resolution of reconciling items.
• Provide input into monthly working capital analysis.
• Contribute to the month-end close process by providing commentary.
• Prepare quarterly tax returns, including VAT and Corporation Tax, and perform partial exemption calculations.
• Manage internal/external lease agreements.
• Maintain accurate stock records and reconciliations.
Profile:
• Proficient in IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Experience in consolidation.
• Strong technical proficiency, capable of preparing accounting memos for auditing purposes.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, strong prioritization, and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail and pride in delivering consistently accurate work
• Ability to organise/prioritise work in and around deadlines, workloads and conflicting priorities
• Bring a positive, enthusiastic and 'can-do’ attitude to work
• Qualified ACCA/ACA with 2+ years experience
• Experience of SAP desirable
• Exposure to data analytics/reporting tools (AI, Office Connect, Tableau) desirable
• Advanced MS Excel skills
Salary:
£52,000 - £60,000 + bonus + benefits
