Venture Recruitment Partners are assisting a large UK corporate, based on the outskirts of Southampton, in their search for a Financial Accountant. This is an initial 12 month contract paying GBP50 - GBP55k + a bonus of 10 to 20%. They operate on a hybrid basis, with 2 days in the office and 3 at home.
Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant
- Owning and managing the end to end cash forecasting process, driving continuous improvement whilst managing key stakeholder relationships inside and outside of Finance
- Subject matter expert in cashflow forecasting and reporting
- Manage the Sales and COGS reconciliation process between Commercial MI and SAP General Ledgers
- Collaborating with wider finance teams on significant accounting risk areas within the business
- Review of balance sheet accounts and sign off in accordance with internal frameworks
- Preparation and review of the statutory accounts
- Provide support to our external auditors as required
Required skills & experience of the Financial Accountant
- Good understanding of financial accounting standards (IFRS) and experience in technical accounting roles / audit.
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified accountant
- Good communication style critical as stakeholders are non-office based
