Financial Accounting Manager

This role is a newly created position to support the wider finance function which will allow for broad involvement across the business.

Description

• Join a small team responsible for the financial reporting (Group, statutory and regulatory reporting) for a life insurance entity, retail insurance business and other smaller business areas;
• Support the team in all areas of financial reporting;
• Be responsible for maintaining a robust control environment by maintaining and monitoring key financial controls, such as balance sheet reconciliations;
• Support finance transformation projects;
• Support risk management processes by monitoring and reporting on key financial risk areas, such as market, credit and liquidity risk;
• Provide administration support to governance committees, such as the Asset and Liability Management Committee and the Financial Reporting Committee
• Work closely with the business to support new propositions and growth.

Profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) or qualified by experience;
• Financial control, Audit or Risk background;
• Financial Reporting and Balance Sheet reconciliation experience;
• Statutory and regulatory Insurance reporting experience is desirable;
• Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders (at all levels of seniority).
