This is an exciting opportunity perfect for a ACA/ ACCA qualified, practice trained Accountant to play a vital role in supporting the Head of European Accounting. Operating on a hybrid-basis, you will be responsible for accounting, reporting and review of the UK and Ireland business units.

Description
Responsibilities:
* Act as reporting accountant to prepare regulatory financial and statutory reporting for the UK and Ireland businesses;
* Manage the closure of the annual accounts process for the UK and Ireland businesses, leading on the production of the financial statements;
* Liaise effectively with external and internal auditors regarding the year-end schedule and audit process for the UK and Ireland businesses;
* Responsible for ensuring the business is adhering to accounting standards (IFRS and US GAAP) and providing technical advice on accounting treatments;
* Responsible for the co-ordination of month end closing process for European entities;
Profile
About You
* Minimum 3+ years finance or accounting experience
* Audit experience essential * Qualified ACA/ACCA
* Demonstrate a detailed technical understanding of both international and local financial reporting standards (IFRS, US GAAP) and show the ability to interpret and apply these standards to both local circumstances
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate well with all levels of staff, including executive & senior management, and to be a team player as part of wider virtual team
* Ability to work on own initiative and to manage own workload against tight deadlines
