Hays Accountancy & Finance Specialist Recruitment, Portadown, are working on behalf of a large successful business based in County Down as they seek to introduce a Financial Analyst, on a full-time, permanent position, due to ongoing business development.

Your new role

Reporting in to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for;

• Preparation of monthly Management Accounts;
• Preparation of Annual Financial Statements;
• Bank and credit card reconciliations;
• Expenses approval
• Preparation and posting of monthly journals;
• Reconciliation of Balance Sheet Control Accounts;
• P&L analysis and commentary
• Provide support to the Financial Controller & Head of Finance as required
• Maintenance of company fixed asset register
• Business Partnering with various departments to provide meaningful financial information to enable effective decision making
• Intercompany Reconciliations
• Preparing and submitting VAT Returns, Intrastat and EC sales reports
• Stock reporting and monitoring
• Support the annual audit process
• Assist with analysis to identify risk and opportunity
• Ensure strong financial controls are in place and/or developed

What you\'ll need to succeed

To be successful, you will need to hold the following;

• Qualified or part qualified accountant
• Experience in FMCG
• 3 years in similar role
• Experience working within a busy finance team
• Customer service experience
• Understanding of accounting processes and procedures
• High level of expertise in use of Microsoft package including Excel and Word
• Attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Able to manage a high-volume workload
• Methodical and meticulous work aptitude
