SalaryOur client is a global manufacturing business based in South Tyneside, who are looking to recruit a Financial Controller on a full time basis.
The contracted hours of work are 39 hours per week. The working pattern is Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, and Friday 8am to 1pm, however there is scope for reasonable flexibility within these hours. However, there will also be a requirement to work additional hours according to business needs.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Financial management reporting and control of business, including P&L, balance sheets and cash flow.
- Ensure business adherence to UK/International financial and reporting regulations and any legislation which may evolve.
- Perform Company Secretarial duties required by UK legislation.
- Managing the Finance team in both development and performance.
- Oversee all UK operations including Braintree function as point of contact.
Qualifications:
- Degree level or equivalent
- Fully qualified Accountant to CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW
Skills & Experience:
- Established record as a Financial Controller with a thorough and extensive in-depth financial management experience in manufacturing.
- Fully conversant with UK taxation and pension administration arrangement.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build good working relationships at all levels.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst prioritise departmental work.
- Drive cultural change within their function in support of operational excellence.
- Be available for both European and global travel depending on business requirements.
- Effective use of Excel and other software packages within Microsoft suite.
- Be experienced in presenting complex data fluently – articulating detail to all levels on site.
The current salary range is £55,000 to £60,000, based on 39 hours per week.
