PES Technologies is a dynamic business who have developed a product facilitating the take-up of environmentally friendly practices by providing industry leading, biology-based soil health analysis, and the company is growing at an accelerated rate.
As they continue to expand, we are seeking a talented hands-on Financial Controller who would enjoy the perfect blend of individual contribution of day-to-day duties and senior-level responsibilities, mostly from the comfort of your own home office.
Working with the CEO and alongside the company accountants, key responsibilities are:
- Ensuring compliance with IUK financial reporting
- Creating / revising financial reporting templates
- Bookkeeping / VAT reporting
- Creating monthly financial reports
- Preparing R+D Tax claims (alongside accountants)
- Running payroll
- Advising on internal commercial policies and spending controls
- Assisting CEO with Board Reporting (tracking cashflow)
- Assisting with Financial Strategy / Modelling
- Running purchase and sales ledgers
- Creating internal commercial policies and spending controls
- Coordinating external tax accountants
- Maximising interest of money in bank
- Compliance with corporation tax and other tax
- Accurate forecasting of tax
- Managing timesheets and expenses
Desired experience:
Ideally, you should have at least three years’ experience working in a Financial Controller role for a UK SME. Alternatively, this role could suit an Assistant Financial Controller looking for the next step up.
- Able to travel with full UK driving licence (as occasionally required to attend meetings outside of Diss)
- Have a good working knowledge of Xero and MS Office Suite
- Experience with import/export would be useful.
- CIMA or ACCA qualification preferred.
