Our client is a well-respected group of private companies operating with the Manufacturing, Engineering and Construction Industries with its Head Office ideally located on the Leicestershire / Warwickshire Boarders.
As part of the companies continued expansion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Qualified Accountant to join the business as Financial Controller.
This position will work closely with the local Divisional MD but also have a dotted line to the Group Finance Director based in another UK Site.
This Financial Controller will work closely with the shareholders, wider SLT and Group Finance taking ownership of the financial stewardship of the group finances whilst aiding continued drive for both improvement and growth.
o Overseeing and controlling the financial records of the company and wider group
o Producing Monthly Management Accounts, and full balance sheet reconciliations
o Reviewing financial performance against budget, and variance analysis
o Corresponding with customers and suppliers and liaising with external auditors
o Preparing monthly payroll
o Stock analysis and management
o Working capital management and maximizing the use of cash resources to prevent cashflow issues
o Implementation of new processes and control systems.
o Presenting financial information and budgets to the local MD and Group FD along with wider SLT
o Ad-hoc financial administration duties and supporting rest of the business
The ideal candidate will be formally qualified (P/Q or QBE considered if relevant experience can be demonstrated) ideally with previous experience gained working within a dynamic SME Business.
This is to be a newly created position for the business as part of their continued expansion and ideally suited to a candidate looking to join a dynamic growing business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the review and improvement of the company’s current Process, Controls and Systems with an ERP migration away from Sage for a more fit for purpose system expected.
Previous experience gained in either construction or manufacturing is desirable.
Ideally candidates will have some industry-based experience however those working within practice seeking a first move into industry will be considered.
A basic salary of £55,000 to £70,000 DOE / Quals + Excellent benefits and bonus awaits.
