Financial Controller

Anderson Knight is working on behalf of a key client who is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller - Compliance. Reporting to the Head of Group Compliance, the key element of this position is to oversee the financial and regulatory compliance of the business and support the Head of Group Compliance and the finance function.

The duties of this role will include:

• Responsible for the Group authorisation instructions matrix and performing an annual review.
• Perform an annual review of all Finance, Purchasing and AP processes and to work the document owners to improve the quality of documentation.
• Be the first point of contact for ant changes needed to existing finance documentation and develop a streamlined change management process.
• Assist in establishing new companies as and when required by the business (registering new subsidiaries, VAT registration, new company checklists, bank accounts and any other related task)
• Assist with overseeing the external audit for the UK entities.
• Responsible for the monthly UK pension submission, HMRC payment and Finance payroll costings
• Responsible for the preparation of the P11D's and annual PSA for each PAYE reference
• Assist in the management and reporting of the Groups Working Capital (Cashflows, inventory policies, debtors, and cash analysis)

The ideal candidate will possess the following key skills:

• A Fully Qualified Accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Ability to identify key areas for change and remedy
• Significant experience within audit/compliance
• Strong people skills
• Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines
