We are seeking a Financial Controller to work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), supervising and controlling the accounting-related activities within the company. This includes overseeing the collection, analysis, and consolidation of financial data and assisting the CFO in the effective management of the company’s finances.
Day to day of the role:- Support the CFO in developing and maintaining financial controls, processes, and systems in line with statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with the executive team to establish more effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of the company’s ledger.
- Oversee all financial control activities, including the review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and disclosures.
- Provide executive management with accurate and comprehensive financial information for policy making and financial strategizing.
- Summarise budget trends, analyse deficiencies, and report variances to executives.
- Provide necessary documentation and support to external auditors.
- Liaise with external accountants for tax, payroll, and accounting preparation.
- Manage the finance department and the audit process.
- Prepare forecasts, management reports, and financial statements in a timely manner.
- Oversee budget reporting and variances and manage internal controls to minimize risk.
- Ensure compliance with Sales Tax, VAT reporting, and other tax authority requirements.
- Conduct payroll management and credit control overview.
- Deputise for the CFO as required and manage intercompany transactions.
- Perform detailed gross profit analysis and bank reconciliations.
- Manage daily cash flows across multiple bank accounts in various currencies.
- Provide financial KPI reporting including ratio analysis.
- Proven experience in a Financial Controller role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
- Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
- Solid knowledge of financial legislation and regulations.
- Proficient in the use of financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
