An exciting opportunity for a proven SME Finance Director to join a leading production business. The role works alongside the MD and requires a collaborative and hands on finance professional
Morgan McKinley have partnered with an exciting, growing and quality driven SME production business based in Essex. The business is growing and offers specialist production equipment for an array of sectors. This is an exciting role for a hands-on Finance Director who will report directly to the Managing Director and manage the smooth running of all financial processes whilst partnering with the wider business on financial matters.
Responsibilities:

• Supervising the accounts department
• Oversee all month and year end processes including oversight of nominal schedules, reconciliations, and payroll.
• Monthly VAT returns and compliance with on VAT and HMRC matters.
• Preparing quarterly management accounts together with budgeting and cashflow forecasts
• Main point of contact with banks, insurance brokers and other finance suppliers
• Overall responsibility of credit control and ad hoc dealing with customers and suppliers
• Comprehensive preparation and audit dealings
• Regular liaison with Project Managers on the financial progress of projects
• Involvement in the ERP system management
• Identifying process improvement possibilities (financial and non-financial)

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Proven ability as an FC/FD pr CFO within a similar SME environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to lead and collaborate in a client facing business.
• Proven ability to analyse and improve finance processes.
