My client are a leading consultancy working primarily with public sector clients. They are seeking a Financial Modeller to join our rapidly growing team. As a Financial Modeller, your primary focus will be on analysing and providing an understanding of the financial impact of projects, such as property development, regeneration schemes, joint venture partnerships, and investments. You will have the opportunity to support sound strategic decision-making through robust financial modelling, tackle diverse challenges, and assist in the development of business cases and options appraisals. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in securing investments through the development and setup of trading companies, joint ventures, and partnerships. Your expertise in financial modelling will also be utilized to support other projects and teams within the business.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and provide understanding of financial impact of projects (property, regeneration, investment, etc.)
- Conduct robust financial modelling for strategic decision making
- Support business case development and options appraisals
- Assist in securing investment through trading companies, joint ventures, and partnerships
- Provide specialist modelling expertise to support projects and teams
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of professional experience
- Strong Excel ability and financial modelling experience
- Understanding of common accounting principles
- Collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Project management and organizational skills
- Comfortable engaging with clients
- Ability to work flexibly and meet deadlines across multiple projects
- Interest in delivering places and services that improve people's lives
Beneficial:
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, MRICS, etc.
- Experience in accounting, project finance, or real estate investment/development
- Understanding of statistics and data analytics
- Basic understanding of VBA, PowerQuery, PowerBI, Python
