Reed Finance are delighted to be partnering with a leading investor in the transport industry, on the recruitment of a Head of Financial Modelling, within the structed finance team.
This Head of Financial Modelling is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who comes with extensive experience in Financial Modelling in M&A and financing transactions who is looking for a transactions and strategic focused role.
The right Head of Financial Modelling will need to be able to build and analyse sophisticated models as well as have demonstrated leadership ability to mentor a team and influence strategic decisions.
The salary on offer for this Head of Financial Modelling. role is between £85,000-£100,000 per annum plus benefits.
Key Responsibilities of this Head of Financial Modelling role:
- Strategic Financial Modelling
- Lead the development of advanced financial models for strategic initiatives including Mergers & Acquisitions, capital raising and long-term financial planning.
- Provide expert-level scenario analysis and advise on risk, opportunities and impacts.
- Leadership in Transactions
- Spearhead financial analysis in complex M&A transactions, including deal structing & valuation and guide financing strategies and decisions.
- Senior Management Collaboration
- Act as key financial advisor to Structured Finance Director, senior executives and present complex financial information to board and external stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement
- Lead initiatives to enhance Financial Modelling framework and ensure best practices.
- Team Leadership
- Mentor and develop team of financial analysts and modellers.
Key Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and CFA will be highly desirable.
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
- Ideally trained in Big Four/Top 10 practice and worked in a corporate finance, transactions, or M&A division
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in Financial Modelling and analysis with a significant period in a leadership role
- Demonstrated expertise in M&A, corporate finance, and capital markets.
- Must understand project finance, acquisitions, and structured finance.
- Exceptional skills in Excel and other Financial Modelling tools, VBA or Python highly desired
- Must have demonstrated experience manging high-stakes projects and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
