Financial Reporting Accountant

This position of Financial Reporting Accountant in our Accounting & Finance department focuses on financial statement preparation and analysis as well as key stakeholder management.

Description

• Expert monthly analysis of the income statement and balance sheet for the Group
• Key contributor to the Group wide month end and year end close process to ensure all financial controls and processes are in line with the Financial Reporting Framework.
• Perform month end activities including the posting of month end journals and completion of HFM schedules
• Assisting with reporting and analysis of the Group numbers to the parent organisation on a monthly and annual basis within strict deadlines.
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Play a key role in the Annual Statutory reporting for the Group and other Group entities.
• Ability to work with the wider business with effective stakeholder management and provide expert advice and guidance
• Be a champion of continuous improvement by being the driving force of change and process automation.

Profile

A successful Financial Reporting Accountant should have:

• Highly credible with the ability to effectively influence at a senior level and manage a variety of different stakeholders
• Strong understanding of relevant accounting standards and legislation
• Proven experience of preparing IFRS financial statements
• Inquisitive, investigative, and comfortable with ambiguity i.e. solving problems with incomplete information, and challenging the norm
• Good working knowledge of standard accounting systems, preferably Oracle and HFM and interest in new technology

Job Offer

• A salary range of approximately £43,000 to £55,000 per year.
