SO Accountant (Financial Reporting)

Public Sector | Hybrid | Temporary 6 months | Immediate Requirement

Reed is engaged with a public body in east Belfast, in the appointment of a qualified Accountant to assume the role of Staff Officer Accountant (Financial Reporting Team) for a period of 6 months.

Working closely with the Deputy Principal, the Staff Officer will hold a varied remit to include the following responsibilities:

• Assistance in preparation of 6 monthly, Interim, and Annual Resource accounts
• Monthly reconciliations/analytical reviews
• Review and Posting of Monthly journals
• Prompt Payment Reporting
• Provisions
• Audit queries

Applicants must be a Qualified accountant with two years post qualification experience gained within the last 5 years in a finance/accounts preparation environment. You will need excellent Excel skills, technical accounting knowledge, Oracle knowledge & financial systems experience.
