Mortgage Underwriting and Completions Consultant
Location - Fareham
£25,000 - £27,000 12.5% Bonus
Our client based in Fareham is seeking a Mortgage Underwriting and Completions Consultant to join their team.
This role will be to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers while ensuring the quality assessment of key underwriting and completions documents. Individual and team responsibility to achieve Service Level Agreements in line with annual targets and the Bank's policies.
Core Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
* Assess mortgage applications and post-offer documents, processing Certificate of Titles in accordance with policy and standards.
* Handle written and verbal communications with solicitors and brokers, responding to complex queries related to legal and underwriting matters.
* Review underwriting conditions, request confirmation from solicitors, and liaise with underwriters and legal on complex policy decisions.
* Complete general administration duties and ad hoc tasks or projects as required.
* Provide recommendations to Underwriters for offer approvals with supporting rationale.
* Identify and escalate potential fraudulent activity in accordance with procedures.
Experience Requirements:
* 2/3 years of previous experience in administration/processing/completions with a mortgage lender, broker firm, or financial institution.
* GSCE/GCE qualifications in both Maths and English are essential.
