To work Flexibly as required to meet the needs of the various finance department teams To ensure the transactions relating to Trust activities are processed in a timely manner. To work flexibly and actively to assist in the collection or payment of monies relating to the trust activities. To take immediate action and any remedial actions, required to ensure the accurate financial recording of the Trust activities. To provide support to departmental managers and other Finance colleagues. To provide Supervisory support to band 4, band 3, band 2 financial service colleagues. To be responsible for the maintenance and updating aspects associated with the Trusts financial systems. To assist in the reconciliation of interfaces. To deputise for the System & Projects Accountant. To support the Trusts wider finance team and external departments in projects and developments relating to the Trusts financial systems. Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate.The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
