Your new company is a well-known University within the Public Sector. They have a few campus sites and many facilities and corporate services. This role is a Maternity Cover and the duration of the role is till October 2024, looking for someone to start immediately.
Your new role
As a Fire, Health and Safety Advisor, you will have a general responsibility for the provision of Health and Safety advice to all University areas, ensuring they fulfil their duties to provide a safe work place, safe learners, and safe persons in the effective control of risks associated with each of the university's activities.
You will also check compliance with asbestos, legionella and Fire Safety Regulations. You will monitor the effectiveness of risk assessment, track systems in place for audits, inspection, accident investigation findings/recommendations. You will review RAMS, policies, Fire Warden Training, review of FRA\'s.
What you\'ll need to succeed
You will need to have Fire, Health & Safety background experience as well as some knowledge of Fire Safety regulations. You will need to hold a NEBOSH General Certificate or Equivalent and be a member of IOSH.
