Main Duties
Own accountability for the operation and maintenance of fire and Life Safety Systems for all London sites. Act as the subject matter expert for fire and Life Safety Systems across the BBC contract for all UK sites. Manage all associated maintenance activities and associated remedial actions for these systems
Develop and implement procedures and that provide full uptime for these assets. Own supplier relationships with the contractors that deliver this service. Develop excellent working relationships with the TSM's for your specific London sites and all other UK sites. Develop excellent working relationship with the Service Desk team. Monitor and progress reactive WIP, PPM delivery and audit actions against fire and Life Safety Systems in West 1, West 12 and Elstree sites. Proactively manage health and safety performance by undertaking regular safety walks and engagement with your team and associated sub-contractors. Ensure legislative compliance in relation to operational and Health and Safety for all activities and specifically against fire and Life Safety Systems across the UK. To build excellent pro-active stakeholder relationships wicth key client stakeholders
What we are looking for
Excellent technical knowledge of fire and Life Safety Systems including fire alarms, sprinklers, fire suppression, smoke ventilation systems, fire doors, fire stopping, fire prevention strategies and other associated assets. Proven track record for managing Hard FM services in commercial/industrial properties. Holds relevant professional, technical or management qualifications or experience. Excellent knowledge and track record in QHSE / Risk management. Strong and effective communication skills and good people manager. Good knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation. Open minded, continual improvement focussed and provides evidence of implementing innovative solutions
Able to represent Mitie effectively at both internal and external meetings
