Fire & Security Area Sales Managerrequired. Our client is a well esablished Fire & Security business, based in the North East, looking for a Area Sales Manager in Oxford due to the growth of the business.
Successful candidates will achieve company sales targets, both revenue and margin for a designated territory. The role will focus on generating new business and managing existing customers, covering Industrial Fire Prevention and Measuring Technology Solutions. This role is intended for a candidate that already has experience in a technical field sales role and can be parachuted into an already well-established territory.
Fire & Security Area Sales Manager Position Overview
- Onboarding support provided by Head of Sales and/or other existing sales team members. Expectation is that the right candidate will be able to quickly navigate the learning curve and be able to operate independently in a short period of time.
- Attend customer site visits to survey requirements and design appropriate solutions. Typical environments are varied and include wood processing and product manufacturing, food manufacturing, recycling and others. Appropriate PPE is provided.
- Preparation of technical and commercial quotations for fire prevention systems (~£20-200k order value) and ownership of the sales cycle.
- Proactively seek new business development opportunities through research and prospecting.
- Use and maintain accurate records in the company's CRM system to aid pipeline management, forecasting and timely follow-up of live opportunities.
- Ownership of assigned internal projects to support the company sales strategy.
- Supporting the development of opportunities for sales of industrial measuring technology systems.
- With the support of Product Management, learn and maintain a deep understanding of the company's product range and solutions.
- Attend and speak at industry events, prepare case study and white paper material.
- Follow and adhere to company processes, procedures and policies.
- This job involves extensive travel across UK & Ireland including overnight stays, so the successful applicant will have a full, clean driving license. Company car provided and travel expenses will be paid.
Fire & Security Area Sales Manager Position Requirements
- 5 years+ experience in the same industry and similar role
- Knowledge of all Fire & Security products
- Proven track record in sales and happy with travelling the UK on occasions.
Fire & Security Area Sales Manager Position Remuneration
- Salary: £30-40k + Commission
- Working Hours: 40 hours a week
- Company Car + Fuel card
