FLT (Counterbalance Driver)

We are currently recruiting for a Team Member (FLT Counterbalance Driver) for our Erith site (DA18 4AF). The successful candidate will contribute to the loading and unloading of LGV vehicles using an FLT vehicle with clamp attachment as well as other Warehouse duties within a busy nighttime warehouse environment. The salary for this role is £31,948.80 per annum plus £1,800 night allowance, based on a working shift pattern of 12:00 midnight to 08:30 am, Monday to Friday.

Job Description:

• Counterbalance FLT License is Essential
• As directed, safely load and unload products on/off trailers using a Counterbalance FLT with clamp attachment, ensuring all company and Health & Safety procedures are adhered to
• Scanning product bar codes and double checking for accuracy
• Ensure all goods are handled in the correct manner to ensure that damage to kept to a minimum and manual handling techniques are followed to prevent injury and harm
• As necessary, complete relevant paperwork to confirm loading and unloading activities have been carried out for audit purposes
• Carry out any other reasonable requests to support the effective running of the warehouse
• Continuously look to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and improvement in business operation and customer service

Key Requirements:

• Good level of general education, including good understanding of both written and verbal
• English Literate and numerate
• Previous warehouse experience is an advantage
• Awareness of manual handling techniques is essential
• FLT licence counter balance essential
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to withstand pressure and work to tight deadlines
• Good attention to detail
