Cargo Express is currently looking for a skilled Forklift Truck/Warehouse Operative to join our team for the night shift. This role is critical in keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Details:
Shifts: 10-hour shifts with varied start times, typically from 17:00 - 03:00 or 18:00 - 04:00.
Salary: £13.56 - £14.87 per hour, dependent on licensing (Counterbalance or Reach Forklift Truck Licence required).
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Birmingham, UK (onsite)

Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, handling products and materials.
Load, unload, ship, and receive warehouse items.
Build pallets with orders and position them to loading docks.
Re-stock inventory manually or with warehouse equipment.
Keep pallet area, and workstations neat.
Report any discrepancies.
Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a warehouse operative.
Proficient in using forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
Valid Counterbalance or Reach Forklift Truck Licence.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Ability to lift heavy objects.
Current forklift certification.
Interviews:
Interviews will be held in the evening to accommodate potential candidates' availability.
