SalaryTintagel Castle is one of our flagship sites, welcoming around 300,000 visitors a year, who come to explore the historic Island grounds telling the story of 1600 years of Cornish history, myth and legend. This role provides a unique opportunity to work in a busy historic tourist attraction. Working within the Food & Beverage team you will be based at our Beach Caf, serving delicious Food & drink to not just our visitors, but also those accessing the site to visit the beach, enjoy coastal walks or simply take in the iconic scenery. Work will be varied, and you could be doing many things from working on a till greeting and serving our customers, to being back of house making our famous, delicious homemade scones.
Our cafes provide the social hub of this historic site and you will play a vital part in creating a warm and welcoming environment where our visitors can relax and enjoy high quality food. Whether you are serving coffee at the counter, cleaning down tables or preparing orders in the kitchen, this is an environment that will keep you busy and engaged. You will be part of an organisation that is committed to ensuring our visitors leave having had a great experience and believe in a great team environment.
In January English Heritage are hosting webinars for anyone who is interested to learn more about what we do as an organisation, the different roles that we have available at our sites, and what a working day might look like as part of the team. The webinars will be hosted by colleagues from our visitor experience team, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions or just listen, whichever you prefer!
