SalaryWe’re looking for Food and Beverage Team Members to join us at Sandilands, also working across Gunby Hall. In this role, you’d be making a real difference to the work of the National Trust, as well as helping to give people a memorable day out.

Hours: flexible, 0-hour role. Weekend working is essential. Shifts will be 10am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm (in summer).
This role is an hourly paid, fixed term position. Wherever possible, we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we're looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We'd give you as much notice of this as possible. The role will include weekends and Bank Holidays, however, there are no evenings or split shifts.
Salary: £10.50 per hour.
Duration: fixed-term contract until 1st January 2026.

What it's like to work here Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you'll be based at mostly at Sandilands (nr Sutton-on-Sea, Lincolnshire, LN12 2SE), a new haven for nature on Lincolnshire's wild coast. Sandilands is the first National Trust acquisition on the Lincolnshire Coast. In partnership with the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park, the vision is to transform the whole site into a nature reserve where everyone can enjoy being outdoors and reconnect with nature. We’ll be working with our partners, the local community and holidaymakers to create a place for both people and wildlife. It’s an exciting time to join the team at the start of this project as you’ll be able to help shape the future of a new National Trust place.
You may also be required to work at nearby Gunby Hall, (Spilsby, Lincolnshire, PE23 5SS), a homely country house set in Victorian walled gardens at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The unique character of this special place is all thanks to the passionate attention to historic detail in research, creative experiences at our seasonal events and unceasing conservation efforts which all contribute to sustaining Gunby’s foundations forever. It’s all thirsty work, making the quaint tearoom in the courtyard a favourite cosy space for visitors, staff & volunteers to intermingle.

What you'll be doing As a Team Member, your main focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people. You’ll welcome and look after everyone who comes to the café. With your love of working with people, your ‘can-do’ attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service, you’ll be making sure everyone has an enjoyable time. This is a lively business that’s constantly on the go, so teamwork and adaptability are crucial.
You’ll be keen to understand what people want, to help them and to make recommendations. And you’ll always keep the standards of food and drink preparation and presentation high. Using your excellent eye for detail, you’ll make sure all displays and signs are accurate and looking good. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food.
We’ll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role.
