Food Technology Technician
Grade 3 £23,114 - £24,294 pro rata to hours worked (£20,057 - £21,081 actual salary)
37 hours per week
Term time only plus teacher training days.
Hours of work 8.00 am to 4.00 pm (half an hour lunch break each day).

We are currently seeking an energetic and experienced Food Technician, to provide the highest standard of technical support and day to day assistance to our busy Design and Technology team. The faculty enjoys excellent dedicated teaching bases comprising well-equipped kitchens and prep room.
You will be enthusiastic and motivated about food technology and determined to help students develop their own enthusiasm and skills. This hands-on role will provide you with an opportunity to showcase your creative flair and pass on your skills and expertise to young students; providing them with the tools to help fulfil their career ambitions in food technology.
You will prepare materials, equipment, resources and tools for focussed demonstrations, and ensure that all equipment is available and in a good, safe condition. You will also be responsible for ensuring that Health and Safety requirements are met under the direction of the school.
What we are looking for:
- Excellent, relevant technical skills, and experience of working with a range of Food equipment and resources
- The ability to encourage and inspire young people to achieve, and an understanding of the importance of students achieving their full potential
- The ability to work with initiative and commitment, under general guidance of the subject teacher.
- Relevant and current health and safety training and qualifications.
- A customer focussed, organised approach.
