SalaryWe are currently looking for a Forge Maintenance Engineer who is seeking a new, unique, and challenging new role based in the heart of Birmingham.

This is unique opportunity to join this leading global brand in a unique position within UK manufacturing. The role is a mix of maintenance and operational, on a heavy press machine with approximately 50%/50% split.
The ideal candidate for the position of Forge Maintenance Engineer:
- Background of Maintenance Engineering.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Looking for a new challenge combining maintenance with operation.
- Forward thinking with an ambition for personal growth.
Your duties/responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Operating and maintaining a bespoke heavy press machine on all aspects, with a knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Mechanical and Electrical systems.
- Responsible for the manufacture of raw materials including the output of the machine and identify any production issues.
- Monitor and control the machine performance and settings.
- Movement of material using forklift trucks, cranes, and slinging systems, as and when required.
- Always maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Support and contribute to the area's lean assessment process with the use of continuous improvement tools and techniques to maintain and improve the processes within the area.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities to maintain and improve 6s standards and auditing systems.
Hours of work:
Shift pattern 4 Days on 4 Days off. 12 hours shifts.
7:00 am - 7:00 pm / 7:00pm - 7:00am.
Salary:
Starting at £37,470 pa - plus £1225 shift allowance per month.
