Forklift Driver - Despatch (4 On 4 Off)

Greenvale AP is one of the UK’s largest growers and packers of fresh potatoes, supplying some of the country’s largest retailers and processors from our 2 production facilities.

Our Floods Ferry site based in March, Cambridgeshire is looking for a Despatch Forklift Driver for its Palletiser Area. This role includes safely loading lorries, operating the Palletiser, communicating with drivers, colleagues and other departments and ensuring production requirements are met.

Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off, 06:00-18:00hrs, 2x 15 minutes paid breaks & 1x 30 minutes unpaid break

Main Responsibilities:

• Safely operating the Forklift Truck
• Ensuring the loads are selected as per plan and despatched on time
• Complying with Health and Safety requirements and procedures
• Ensuring effective communication at all times
• Reporting issues/faults to the Team Leader
• Engaging in departmental continuous improvement activities
• Ensuring work area is tidy and safe at all times

Key Skills and Attributes:

• The ideal candidate will have experience working within a similar role in a manufacturing environment
• Attention to detail
• Safety awareness
• Communication and organisation skills
• Valid Forklift licence of ITSSAR, AITT or RTITB standard is required
