AddressAre you an experienced Forklift Driver? We are currently working with a reputable company based in Burton-on-Trent who are expanding and seeking a Forklift Driver.The pay rate for this role is £11.53 per hour.
The role is based in DE14 3PD - own transport required.
Skills, Qualifications and Competencies:
- Responsible for operating an FLT in an outside environment.
- Operating a double handler LLOP
- Maintain a thorough and detailed knowledge of unloading /loading duties, functions and requirements
- Maintain a detailed understanding of legislation and regulation affecting operations.
- Maintaining high levels of Health & Safety at all times, reporting any incidents to the appropriate manager
- Maintaining high levels of housekeeping throughout the site at all times
Requirements:
- To drive the daily performance of operatives, to achieve or exceed budgeted productivity and quality targets within a warehouse operation in line with departmental KPI
- To implement the daily staffing plan, ensuring optimum operational output at all times, escalating any areas of concern immediately to the Outbound Manager
- As directed by the Outbound Manager deliver training on operational procedures and processes in accordance with company strategy including but not exclusively Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Standard Operating Practice (SOP’s)
- In conjunction with and supported by the Outbound Manager actively endorse, promote and manage our Safety culture and status though but not exclusively team briefing, training and if applicable regular 121’s.
- Support the Outbound Manager in achieving departmental and company objectives
- Carry out any reasonable request as determined by the Management Team promoting and supporting company initiatives
Skills, Qualifications and Competencies:
- FLT Counterbalance Certificate is essential - IN-HOUSE LICENCES ACCEPTED
- Willing to train and undertake relevant courses
- Able to prioritise work based on scheduling and available resources
- Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
- Must be a team player who is capable of working on their own initiative
- Must be flexible in approach to work and shift patterns
- Should have good oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to solve problems
